MANSEHRA, Dec 2: The NWFP governor has appointed Prof Daud Awan as new Vice Chancellor of the Hazara University (HU).
The new VC hails from village Maur Bhaffa of Mansehra Tehsil and has been serving as Dean in Allama Iqbal Open University.
He has replaced Dr Ashraf Adeel, whose unceremonious exit has raised many an eyebrows and caused unrest among the teachers and the students of the university who had been boycotting the classes till Tuesday.
