LARKANA, Feb 21: Paramedics called off their strike here on Tuesday after meeting Dr Ashfaque Memon, the newly-appointed Medical Superintendent of Chandka Medical College Hospital and its affiliated hospitals.

After relieving Dr Zulfikar Siyal, Dr Memon took over as the MS of the CMCH. He came to the central OPD and talked to the leaders of CMCH Paramedics Association.

The MS assured Zulfikar Sahto, general secretary of the association, and Niaz Bhutto and Mohammed Sharif Palari, provincial president and general secretary of the paramedics association, of solving some problems at his level immediately and referring rest of them to the high-ups.

Survey: Commissioner of Larkana Syed Asif Haidar Shah has directed the survey department to complete survey of the land acquired by the National Highway Authority (NHA) for the Larkana-Mohenjodaro dual carriageway in a month so that compensation could be paid to land owners.
