FATEHJANG, Feb 16: Congestion on inter-provincial route near Fatehjang has become a common sight as encroachments created hindrance in smooth flow of traffic.

The statement was issued by a delegate of citizens headed by president welfare association, Farhat Khan while talking to media person here on Thursday.

He said Fatehjang was located on the road leading to Multan, Karachi, Bannu, and Dera Ismail Khan. The city was bearing the load of heavy traffic and resultantly traffic jams especially on main chowk had become a daily routine. He explained, on the other hand, unauthorised bus and van stands and encroachers are the major cause of traffic snarls.

He regretted the administration has shut eyes over the issue and demanded of the district coordination officer (DCO) to look into the matter and direct the town municipal administration to remove the encroachments and unauthorised vehicle stands from the main road of the city so that the masses may get rid of the menace.
