LAHORE, Feb 15: Four goals by Ahmed Ali Tiwana and two by Atif Yar Tiwana helped Shahpur overpower Master Paints 9½-6 as two more matches were decided in the Aibak Cup Polo here on Wednesday.

The half-goal handicap helped the winners lead the first chukker 1½-1. While Captain Shaukat Ali Malik hit the first goal of the match for Shahpur, five-goal Ignacio Del Tour fired home his first for the losers.

But a strong Master Paints forged ahead in the second chukker 4-3½, as Ignacio scored two and Gaston Moore added one goal. Atif and Ahmed opened their accounts for the winners by scoring one goal each.

Atif and Ahmed had tilted the match to their side by adding one more goal in the third chukker to give the winners 5½-4 lead.

An eventful fourth chukker saw five more goals as Ahmed added two more and Atif his third for Shahpur, while Ignacio hit two but only to reduce the margin of defeat.

Meanwhile, five goals by Raul Laplacette starred in Colony Sugar’s 6-3½ win against Hataff Security.

Mian Hussain Iftikhar added one remaining goal for the winners. For the losers, Vieri Antinori hit three goals, while half goal was the handicap.—Sports Reporter
