Water plant planned

KARACHI, Feb 14: The World Wide Fund for Nature-Pakistan (WWF-P) with the support of UN-Habitat will establish a reverse osmosis water treatment plant in Kakapir Village, Sandspit, to provide clean water to around 300 households.

This was stated by WWF-P project coordinator Naveed Ali Soomro at an awareness programme held at a wetland centre on Tuesday.

District West Administrator Qamruddin Shaikh, Mohammad Siddiq Panjwani of Fisherfolk Development Organisation and Dr Babar Hussain of the wetland centre also spoke.—Staff Reporter
