KARACHI, Feb 13: MQM chief Altaf Hussain has expressed sorrow over the indictment on Monday of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani in a contempt of court case.

In an apparent reference to the situation developing in the country, Mr Hussain said he was disappointed with what had happened on Monday, according to a press release issued from London.

The MQM leader said he had been saying all along that institutions must show respect and dignity for each other and avoid confrontation under any circumstances.
