Nazim, kin owe Rs6m to revenue dept

VEHARI, Nov 30: District Nazim Mumtaz Khan Khichi and his family have been defaulter of Rs6 million of the revenue department for the last two years.

An official said here on Saturday that over Rs2.3 million are due from Mr Mumtaz under the head of water rate and Rs1 million under the head of the farm income tax.

The Nazim’s brother, Dilawar Khichi, is a defaulter of Rs129,963 farm income tax and Rs330,000 water rate; his uncle Ahmad Yar Khichi is a defaulter of Rs313,589 farm income tax and Rs130,000 water rate; another uncle Allah Yar Khichi Rs345,089 farm income tax and Rs254,825 water rate; his cousin Ghulam Akbar Khichi Rs526,000 farm income tax and another cousin Rs180,000 farm income tax.
