Bar for restoration of bus route

SHEIKHUPURA, Nov 30: The District Bar Association, in an emergent meeting, slammed a District Nazim’s decision of restricting Daewoo buses entry into the city jurisdiction.

Bar president Amir Afzal Khan, speaking on this occasion, termed the Nazim’s move against the needs and wishes of the general public, specially commuters.

He demanded immediate restoration of the service from the Lahore Railway Station to the Sheikhupura courts.

Female councillors, in a press briefing, also condemned Nazim’s decision.

FREED: As many as 135 prisoners involved in petty crimes were released from the district jail here on Friday.

District and Sessions Judge Talib Husain Baloch ordered the release after a visit to the district jail.
