RAHIM YAR KHAN, Jan 29: Six officials and five members of the governing body were elected unopposed during Rahim Yar Khan Union of Journalists (RUJ) election for 2012 held here on Sunday.

According to the announcement made by Election Committee chairman Bilal Habib, Irfanul Haq Malik (Dawn) was elected president, Siddique Baloch (Geo News) vice president, Tariq Mehmood Chaudhry (News Five) general secretary, Fayyaz Mehmood (Jang) joint secretary, Abid Hanif (Aaj News) finance secretary and Mian Jamil Azhar (Khabrain) information secretary.

Chaudhry Bashir Amanat Ali (Jang), Rizwan Akhtar Chaudhry (Nawa-i-Waqt), Asim Siddique (Dunya News), Kamran Sheikh (NNI) and Mumtaz Shah (Express News) were elected members of the governing body.
