KARACHI, Nov 28: The PML-Q in Sindh has nominated Altaf Unnar as its parliamentary leader in Sindh Assembly and decided not to field its own candidate for the top slot.

The meeting, presided over by the provincial chief of PML-Q, Ghous Bux Mehar, at Ghulam Rasool Unnar’s residence on Thursday also turned down Ali Bux alias Pappoo Shah’s request for party’s candidate for the top slot.

The decision was taken in the light of GNA’s earlier decision in which the PML-Q, the MQM, and the PML-F had decided to field a consensus candidate for the top slot.

The meeting was of the view that the understanding was sabotaged by the SDA by fielding Arbab Rahim as its candidate for the CM’s slot. The decision with regard to Arbab rahim indicated the brewing conflict of interest with the GNA.

Earlier in the day, Mr Maher had met Pir Pagara and assured him of the PML-Q cooperation in the formation of government .
