KARACHI, Jan 20: The Subh-e-Nau Ranking tennis event began at CDGK Sports Complex here on Friday with top players of the metropolis featuring in the week-long gala.

Three matches of boys’ U-14 were played on the first day.

In the first match, Dawar Rehan defeated Khizar Loya in straight sets while Sadan Ashraf lost his match to Amin Shafi despite an impressive show.

In another contest, Imran Loya defeated Mustafa despite late brilliance from his opponent.

Men’s singles, boys’ U-18 and U-14 matches will be held on Saturday.
