Allo Bheel, father of deceased Gunes Bheel, 30, and injured Chetan Bheel of Morlok village got registered an FIR at the Umerkot police station.

Accordingly, his sons were returning after attending a marriage when intercepted by three armed men near Khanu Rangar bus stop.

Bheel brothers escaped when armed men tried to snatch the motorcycle they were riding on but the robbers opened fire.

Gunes received two bullets in chest and Chetan in his left arm and both were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital Umerkot where Gunes died.

Chetan Bheel told Dawn that he identified two of the three robbers Kandero Panhwar and Sajid Rangar.

Kandero Panhwar was arrested while mother, sister and father of Sajid Rangar were taken into custody.

Later, youths and heirs of the deceased man forced the shopkeepers of Umerkot town to pull down their shutters. Protesters injured five shopkeepers with batons when they resisted closure.
