Azhar joins injured players’ list

LAHORE, Nov 27:Pakistan suffered another  setback when all-rounder Azhar Mahmood had a recurrence of his shoulder injury during a warm-up session prior to start of the third one-day international against Zimbabwe Wednesday.

Team manager, Brig  Mohammad Nasir, has informed  the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) from Zimbabwe that Azhar would  not be  available  for the remaining two one-day  internationals and probably  for the South African tour because of shoulder injury,

Azhar had missed nearly four weeks of cricket with the  same injury before being declared fit for one-dayers against Zimbabwe.

Azhar, however, has not been instructed to come back home.

The all-rounder would also be sent to Johannesburg to consult the  same specialist who treated Rashid Latif for a neck injury earlier this month.

The team  management  has  not asked for Azhar  Mahmood’s replacement.
