ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Wednesday said that the government should disclose reasons behind not writing to Swiss court, DawnNews reported.

Addressing media persons after a party meeting, Maulana said that contacts among the political leaders was a good initiative in the current political scenario as it had created a congenial atmosphere.

He said that all institutions should work in accordance with the Constitution.

He said that PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif contacted him and discussed the prevailing situation of the country, adding that he would meet him shortly to discuss the issues in detail.

He said that there was a need to avoid confrontation between state institutions.

The JUI-F chief said his party would always support democracy in the country.

Fazl said that holding of elections was indispensable but new voters’ list was yet to be finalised.

NADRA should prepare new verified lists for holding free, fair and transparent elections, he added.
