Himayat’s wife laid to rest

TORONTO, Nov 23: Wife of Himayat Ali Shair, who died of a lever ailment here on Thursday, was laid to rest on Friday in the Pickering graveyard, 28 kilometres east of Toronto.

Begum Himayat Ali had received treatment in America before she was brought to Toronto a few days ago. Himayat Ali had also flew in here as his wife’s condition deteriorated.

Her namaz-i-janaza was held after Juma prayers in Madinah Mosque at Danforth Avenue. A good number of Himayat’s friends and family members paid last respects to her.

Dr Shanul Haq Haqqi, Ashfaq Hussain of the Urdu International and Athar Rizvi of the Ghalib Academy were also present on the occasion.
