KARACHI, Nov 22: The Baliji National Bridge Championship will start from Dec 13 at Lahore Gymkhana Club, says a Pakistan Bridge Federation (PBF) press release issued Friday.

Organised by the PBF the championship will be held with collaboration of Punjab Bridge Association (PBA) and carries cash prizes worth over half million of rupees.

The press release said that another feature of this event will be that for the first time a ladies team as well as pair events will also run concurrently with the main championship. Cash prizes of Rs40, 000 and Rs 65, 000 will be on offer for ladies and pairs events.

Karachi based teams, Candyland, Allana and Peek Freans have been the previous winners of this tournament. So far it is known that Giants, Candyland, Allanas and Four Bidders will compete from Karachi.

Meanwhile PBF announced that Super Bowl X Pair Contest is schedule to be held Monday Dec 9 at Aslam Bridge Hall.—PPI
