President assures PM-elect of support

ISLAMABAD, Nov 21: President Gen Pervez Musharraf telephoned Prime Minister-elect Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali on Thursday to congratulate him on his election as the Leader of the House in the National Assembly and the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Musharraf wished Jamali every success in his important responsibilities as the new head of the government.

He assured the prime minister-elect of his fullest support and continued good wishes as he embarked upon leading the country on the course of a stable, democratic and prosperous Pakistan.—APP
