LAHORE, Dec 9: A team of the Aziz Bhatti Town Municipal Administration on Friday got three quacks arrested for running clinics illegally.

The team led by Town Officer (Regulations) Shahzad Qureshi also got registered criminal cases against quacks besides sealing their clinics in an on-going campaign launched against quacks on the direction of the City District Government of Lahore.

The team visited various localities of the town and requested the people to inform the officials concerned if they had any knowledge about quacks' clinics. TREATMENT:

Law enforcement agencies took into custody a suspect from Johar Town late on Thursday night.

A senior police official told Dawn, requesting not to be named, that the arrest came on the information that an alleged terrorist wanted by law enforcement agencies was present at a house in Johar Town.

During interrogation, he said, the arrested suspect was not found involved in any anti-state or other criminal activities and was released later. Guesthouse raid:

Racecourse police arrested on Friday 37 people, including 17 women, in a guesthouse near Basti Saidan Shah.

Police said the people were found in “objectionable” conditions.

Among the arrested were a suspended police official but later he was allowed to flee the scene, said an official. The Racecourse police registered a case against them. A court later released all the women on bail and sent the men to the jail.
