CHITRAL, Dec 7: The beheaded body of one of two kidnapped personnel of the Chitral Scouts was found in Darashot forest near Chitral on Tuesday.

Afghan militants had simultaneously attacked five check posts of the Chitral Scouts near the Afghan border on Aug 29, killing 30 personnel. They had also kidnapped soldier Faqir Hussain and sepoy Sadiq Jalal after the attack.

Sources said that Afghan militants informed former union nazim of Ayun, Abdul Majeed Qureshi, about the body of soldier Faqir Hussain.

Sepoy Sadiq Jalal is still in custody of the militants and they have demanded release of their men in exchange for the kidnapped sepoy.

The local police spotted the body of the soldier in the Darashot forest near Arsoon and handed it over to the Chitral Scouts.
