MINGORA, Nov 30: The court of additional district and sessions judge Bahrain convicted two accused in a murder case, awarding them death sentence and life imprisonment.

The two accused, Imran and Javed, were nominated in the murder of Habibur Rehman.

The deceased, a resident of Bashigram area of Madyan, was killed on March 11, 2011. An FIR was registered against the two accused at Madyan police station.

The case was heard by the court of additional district and sessions judge.

The prosecution examined nine witnesses in the case. After hearing arguments of the lawyers of both parties, the court convicted both the accused.

Imran was sentenced to death while Javed was awarded life imprisonment by the court.

Senior lawyer Muambar Khan represented the prosecution while Mohammad Amin and Malak Ahmad Jan defended the accused.
