KARACHI, Nov 19: Hydri Baloch and Colony Star moved into the quarterfinals of the All Karachi Ramazanul Mubarak Football Championship after routing their respective opponents at the U.P. Gymkhana ground, North Karachi.

Hydri Baloch, the Lyari champions, were in for a shock when Sohail opened the account for Young Liaquatabad in the seventh minute.

However, three minutes later Hydri drew level 1-1 through Mohammad Rustam. Dodging through a host of defenders, Amjad Ghulam put his team further ahead 2-1 after 25 minutes of play which increased to 3-1 just before the interval when Shakil Ahmed made no mistake.

With pressure mounting after the interval, Feroz from Young Liaquatabad conceded an own goal and in the 52nd minute, Mohammad Sharif completed completed the 5-1 rout for the winners.

In an earlier match, Colony Star thrashed North Karachi Club 4-0.

Muzaffar struck twice in the 11th and 36th minute, whilst the other two goals were scored by Arif in the 18th minute and Ikhlaq, in the 57th minute.
