KARAK, Nov 18: Two persons of a family were killed and two others injured when a car they were traveling in was ambushed allegedly by their rivals in Takht Nusrati teshil here on Friday.

Police said the family members were going home in a car after appearing in a local court in Takht Nusrati when some gunmen opened fire on the car near Banjakh Banda, killing Sher Dad and Naseerullah on the spot, while Sher Dad's father Sher Ali Khan and sister Zainab Bibi suffered injuries. The injured were shifted to the tehsil headquarters hospital Takht Nusrati in critical condition.

The injured Sher Ali Khan registered FIR in Shah Saleem police station against Abdus Satar, Noor Qalam Khan, Mehboobur Rehman and Mohammad Suleman, residents of Banjakh Banda. Sources said the two families had an old enmity.

Meanwhile, the bullet-riddled body of a young man, Ziaur Rehman, was recovered from a dry water course near Ahmadabad on Friday.
