Man held with heroin

LAHORE, Nov 15: The Airport Security Force claim to have arrested a passenger after recovering 70 gram heroin from his shoes at Allama Iqbal International Airport.

According to an ANF spokesman, officials took Zafar Iqbal of Hujra Shah Muqeem, Okara, into custody after some narcotics were detected in his shoes during a search. He was going to Muscat by an Air Blue flight on Monday afternoon.

The suspect told the officials that he worked in Muscat and was carrying heroin for the first time.

He said the suspect had been handed over to the Anti-Narcotics Force for further interrogation. — Staff Reporter
