SHIKARPUR, Nov 14: On the demand of the parents of three Hindu men shot dead in Chak last week, police have registered a fresh FIR against 11 accused on the complaint of Suresh Kumar, the brother of one of the deceased.

Qazi Ghulam Mohammad Bhayo has been nominated as the main accused while others named in the fresh FIR included Ramzan, Iqbal and Hussain Bux Hussain, all Bhayos by caste.Seven others, nominated earlier, had already been arrested.

However, police failed to arrest any one nominated in the fresh FIR.

Naresh Kumar, an income tax inspector, Dr Ajeet Kumar and Ashok Kumar, a businessman were killed and Dr Satiya Pal was seriously injured when armed men reportedly belonging to Bhayo tribe, opened fire at an Autaq (guest house) in Satampur Mohalla of Chak on November 7.

Police registered an FIR on behalf of state in which complainant sub-inspector Ashiq Mahar nominated eight Bhayo tribesmen and three unidentified accused after President Asif Ali Zardari and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah took notice of the triple murder.

Police arrested seven accused and, according to them, raids were being conducted at different places but no absconding accused could be arrested.

However, the victim families had expressed dissatisfaction over the FIR and demanded registration of another FIR.

Our Sukkur correspondent adds: Seven accused arrested in the case were produced before the special judge of Anti-Terrorism Court in Jacobabad Abdul Rasheed Soomro on Monday amid tight security.

They were remanded in police custody with a directive to produce them in the court on November 17.

Talking to journalists in the premises of the court, one of the accused, Ahsanullah Bhayo, said that they were innocent and appealed to Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry to take notice and provide them justice.

Our Mirpurkhas correspondent adds: Hindu community people took out a procession here on Monday in protest against the triple murder.

Carrying banners and placards, protesters marched on the main through fares and staged a sit-in at Shah Latif Chowk.

They demanded arrest of the accused and protection to the lives and properties of Hindu community people.
