HYDERABAD: Boy killed in accident

HYDERABAD, Nov 17: A 12-year-old boy was run over by a truck on the Thandi Sarak near the agriculture complex here on Sunday.

The boy, Hassanullah, resident of Wahdat Colony, was riding a bicycle when the truck (AA-1133) hit him. He was taken to the civil hospital where he died.

The GOR police impounded the truck and arrested the driver, Talib Hussain.

ARRESTED: The Bhitai Nagar police on Saturday arrested three armed robbers — Imran, Naeem Abbas, and Azeem Mangal — who had committed a robbery in the house of a folk singer, Taj Mastani.

Another accused in the incident, Amir, and a woman, Javairiya, were still at large.

Amir is stated to be the brother of a man who had gunned down an official of the MET office a few months back.

The robbers had looted a TV set, a tape recorder, gold ornaments, cash, and prize bonds from the house of Aslam Channa in Prince Town.

The robbers were identified by the teenaged son of a folk singer, Fayyaz. He informed the police about their features.

The police said the robbers were involved in an robbery, committed in Lahore.
