MANSEHRA, Nov 4: The district administration of Torghar has found 38 candidates for constable jobs with fake educational documents, said an official on Friday.

Of late, the provincial steering committee headed by Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti relaxed educational qualification for constable appointment from secondary school certificate to middle school certificate.

District coordination officer, Torghar Mohammad Fareed Khan told Dawn on Friday that despite being given relaxation in educational qualification, 38 candidates produced fake middle school certificates for vacant constable posts.

He said 174 constable jobs were advertised in the newspapers last month, adding that the district administration sent certificates of 58 candidates for verification to the relevant Mansehra and Torghar schools.

?Thirty eight candidates' middle school certificates have been found to be fake. We've sent more certificates to the relevant schools for verification,” he said.

Before the relaxation of the criteria, too, many candidates had submitted fake documents for the same jobs.

Mr Fareed said police filled 113 of the 200 posts in the first phase by relaxing criteria due to unavailability of suitable candidates in the district. He said strict action would be initiated against the candidates, who filed fake documents. ARREST OF SHO ORDERED:

Balakot civil judge Assad Ali Khan on Friday issued a non-bailable warrant for the arrest of Kaghan station house officer Mohammad Zulfiqar over illegal detention of a hotel's employees and ordered his production before the court handcuffed.

Mohammad Anwar, owner of Saiful Mulk Hotel in Naran, had moved the court for action against the SHO, alleging that Zulfiqar took some of his employees away after he refused to pay him bribe.

He had also accused the policeman of teasing him by unlawfully raiding hotel and residence. The court had summoned the SHO to appear before it first on November 2 and then on November 3, but he didn't show up. ? Correspondent
