ISLAMABAD, Nov 4: Police help service centres have been established at the main markets and other areas to provide immediate assistance to the citizens in case of any eventuality during Eidul Azha.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mohammad Yousuf Malik directed all SDPOs and SHOs to ensure effective security arrangements on the occasion of Eid in the markets and also in the residential areas as the people would leave for their native towns to celebrate Eid.

In order to maintain effective security, police help service centers have been established at Super Market, Jinnah Super, Karachi Company and F-10 Markaz where police officials would remain present to assist citizens in case of any problem to them. The centers would also ensure checking of police patrolling teams in the particular areas.

Instead of going to the police stations, the people can lodge their complaints with these centers which would work from 5:30pm to 12:30am.

The SSP said that the centers were set up to promote the concept of community policing and ensure immediate resolution of the public complaints. — Staff Reporter
