ISLAMABAD, Nov 14: An accountability court on Thursday adjourned till November 23 the hearing of a corruption reference against Amir Lodhi, a co-accused in the defence deals case.

The case was adjourned since the statement of the process server could not be recorded because of the non-availability of the prosecution, who was busy in the Lahore High Court, Rawalpindi Bench.

Earlier, the accountability judge, Mohammad Aslam, had reissued a non-bailable warrant of arrest against the accused since the process server appointed from the Islamabad police failed to appear before the court to submit his report whether he served the earlier warrant or not.

Amir Lodhi is facing the allegation of receiving $1,739,282 as kickbacks and commission from suppliers, who were under contract with the government of Pakistan to supply defence materials to the Navy.
