KARACHI: Pakistan No 1 and top seed Imran Shahzad of Punjab, who is struggling to get his touch after undergoing dengue treatment recently, conjured up 4-2 victory over Sindh’s Qassim Kamani in the ranking snooker championship at Karachi Gymkhana on Monday.
Imran, who lost the group A opener to lowly ranked Farrukh Usman on Sunday, recovered from two frames down to post 1-86, 29-69, 66-29, 77-39, 69-23, 73-20 victory over his opponent.
Second seed Sohail Shahzad of Sindh handed out a 4-1 defeat to province mate Mohammad Ishtiaq the scores being 43-59, 51-34, 71-16, 87-0, 79-66.
Meanwhile, the league matches concludes on Tuesday while the knockout starts the following day.
