PESHAWAR: Three of a family shot dead

Published November 14, 2002

PESHAWAR, Nov 13: Three members of a family were killed here on Tuesday.

Hazrat Yousaf, son of Ghulam Habib, lodged an FIR, stating that his relation Abdul Haseeb, son of Hikmat Khan, a resident of Agra Malakand Agency, had come to Peshawar for the treatment of his wife.

Haseeb took a house on rent in Tehkal Payan locality and started living with his wife Zyarat Jan and daughter Musarrat.

On Monday night, some unknown men broke into the house and killed the entire family with fire arms. Hazrat Yousuf told the police that the family had apparently no enmity with anyone.

However, police claim that Abdul Haseeb had some dispute with someone in his village and that was why he moved to Peshawar along with his family.

The University Town police have registered a case and are investigating.
