Shamyl stars in Millennium victory

LAHORE,  Nov  12: Millennium Bug and Mega Infra earned victories by big margins on the first day of the Global Telecom Cup Polo Tournament played at the Lahore Polo Club ground on Tuesday.

Six  goals  by seasoned campaigner Shah  Shamyl  Alam  helped Millennium  Bug crush Travel Quest 9 — 5 1/2 with Sufi Amir scoring the other three goals for the winners.

For the losers, Irfan Ali Hyder contributed three goals, while Tanvir Tariq added one goal. The losers had a one and half goal handicap.

In the other match, five  goals by Agha Murtaza, steered Mega Infra to a  emphatic 11 goals to 2 1/2 goals victory against Opinion Attitude.

Besides Agha, the other two key scorers for Mega Infra were Syed Hasan   Raza Gillani and Malik Azam Noon, who scored three goals each to   add to the winning tally.

For the losing side, Babar Monnoo and Usman Hayee scored  one goal apiece, after their team received a half goal handicap.
