ISLAMABAD, Sept 27: The official website of Supreme Court was defaced on Tuesday by a hacker who inserted highly derogatory material against the judiciary in general and the chief justice in particular demanding immediate ban on the pornographic sites in the country.

Earlier the Supreme Court website was hacked by two boys also in the month of September last year to whom the court had granted bail on April 11 as they were less than 18 years of age.

Tuesday’s hacking instantly invited swift action by the court authorities resulting in the blocking of the website for sometime which was restored in the evening. A probe was also ordered by the court administration.

After hacking the site, the hacker posted a message demanding ban on pornographic sites and to take suo moto against the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) though they also made it clear that the data available on the website is intact and no harm has been done to it. It is only the index file that has been replaced with the hacker’s message.Media reports suggest the hacker, who used the screen name Zombie_Ksa, asked the Chief Justice to ban all pornographic websites and do more to help the poor.— Staff Reporter
