NAROWAL, Nov 11: The PML-N will help the groups which will struggle for the restoration of true democracy.

This was stated by PML-N chief coordinator Ahsan Iqbal at a press conference here on Monday.

He said the PML-N wanted restoration of 1973 Constitution and withdrawal of the Legal Framework Order (LFO).

He said politicians were not creating any hindrance in the formation of government; the real hurdle was acceptance of Gen Musharraf as a president.

He said whenever the general would secure assurance from political groups about his presidency, he would call the assembly session.

Mr Iqbal also criticized LFO and declare it a major hurdle in the way to restoration of democracy.

He said LFO should be repealed to pave the way for restoration of democracy.

He claimed that the Musharraf government wanted to impose its decision on politicians. It wanted them to accept the military regime’s decisions without offering any resistance, he added.

He said due to the flawed policies of the Musharraf government foreign diplomats were interfering in the process of government making.

He said the military regime has given the country a split assembly by supporting rigging to make sure the success of its favourites.

Mr Iqbal favoured early convening of the National Assembly session to end political crisis in the country.

PROFESSOR: People demanded the authorities to fill 10 posts of professors at the Government Islamia Degree College, Narowal, at the earliest.

The college needs professors in English, Islamiat and physics.
