KHAIRPUR, Sept 23: Speakers paid glowing tributes to renowned singer late Gulzar Ali Khan at a function held here to mark the 19th death anniversary of the musician.

Gulzar (1934-1992) created popular tunes in Sindhi music and perfected Ustad Manzoor Ali Khan's singing style.

Poet Akhtar Dargahi said that late Ustad Manzoor Ali Khan mixed singing style of Sindhi music in his typical style of Gawalyar family and his elders, which earned him great fame.

Mir Molai said that many people used to learn singing from Gulzar and he was generous to teach everyone.

Nizam Zahir, Akbar Shah and others also spoke about the work of late Gulzar.—BoC
