KARACHI, Nov 10: Police have arrested a young man on a charge of killing two boys. The boys, Usman Anwer, aged 13, and Ahsan Anwer, aged 11, were found murdered in a stormwater drain in Benazir Colony, Islam Chowk, Orangi Extension, on Sunday last.

Police said that they arrested a cousin of the boys, Mohammed Azeem, aged 19, who confessed to killing his cousins.

The boys lived in Bhitai Colony, Korangi.

Police said that Azeem, who lived in Orangi Extension, had been taken into custody a few days back for interrogation. He confessed killing the boys after sodomizing them.

SUICIDE: A young man committed suicide in the DHA on Sunday.

Police said that Mawa Khan, aged 35, hanged himself from a ceiling fan in the servant quarter of a bungalow on Seaview Avenue.

Belonging to the Marri tribe, the young man came to the city two days back from Quetta with some problem and wanted to consult Sardar Changez Khan Marri about some matter. He had been staying in the servant quarter of Sardar Marri’s bungalow, where he committed suicide. However, he had not met Sardar Marri, police said.

On Sunday morning he locked himself up in the servant quarter of the bungalow and hanged himself.
