KARACHI: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Wednesday presided over a meeting regarding law and order situation here at CM House.

The meeting reviewed the law and order situation of Karachi in detail, particularly the action taken by Police and Rangers against target killers, extortionists, criminals and terrorists with firm emphasis to continue the same without any discrimination or political pressure.

It was decided that concerted efforts are being streamlined against criminals and target killers, while the details, names of target killers will be made public soon. The meeting further decided to continue the action against criminals and anti-state elements.

The meeting reviewed the overall law and order situation and expressed satisfaction on present position with emphasis to further improve it. It was reaffirmed that peaceful atmosphere will be maintained at all cost in Karachi.

The meeting was also attended among others by Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Hussain Wassan, IG Police Sindh Wajid Ali Durrani, Deputy Director General Rangers Sindh Brig. Zafar Iqbal and additional Chief Secretary (Home) Wasim Ahmed.
