LAHORE, Nov 6: Ousted prime minister and patron of the PML-N Mian Nawaz Sharif says the MMA-PPP-PML-N alliance is giving sleepless nights to the generals who have decided to postpone the convening of National Assembly session seeing the Q-League’s defeat in the voting for prime minister’s slot.

Talking to Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadith president Prof Sajid Mir by phone from Jeddah on Wednesday, he said the army government had conspired to repeal the ban on floor crossing to strengthen turncoats in the politics.

The PML-N has awarded senate tickets to Prof Mir and former finance minister Ishaq Dar from the Punjab.

Mr Sharif told the professor that he was given the ticket in recognition of his service in the politics, ignoring various other leaguers.

He said PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif would monitor the senate elections while Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had been directed to prepare a strategy in this regard.
