GHALANAI, Aug 20: A government primary school was blown up in Toorkhel area of Baizai tehsil in Mohmand tribal region, officials said here on Saturday.

They said that unidentified militants had planted explosives at the building of Government Primary School Toorkhel that went off on the night between Friday and Saturday. The building was completely destroyed. No loss of life was reported.

Assistant Political Agent Baizai Maqsood Hassan Khan confirmed the incident. So far, at least 80 schools have been blown up by militants in Mohmand Agency, depriving around 25,000 students of education.
