LAHORE, Aug 14: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Monday inaugurated the Kalma Chowk flyover on Ferozepur Road, a handout said. In his address at the inauguration ceremony, the chief minister said the project completed in 135 days was an example of speed, quality and transparency, adding it would be a model for other public initiatives.

CM’s senior advisor Zulfiqar Khosa, provincial ministers, MPAs, Quarter Master General, NLC director general, officers of NESPAK and concerned departments also attended the function.

Shahbaz Sharif said besides cost saving and timely completion, night work culture had also been introduced in the project. He said that misappropriation of funds, nepotism and corruption were rampant in development projects completed in the past.

Earlier, the chief minister laid the foundation stone of the underpass.
