PTCL strongly placed

LAHORE, Nov 3: Despite a fighting 76 by opener Ali Hussain, Sui Gas struggled to 221 for seven in their first innings on the second day of Kardar Trophy final against PTCL in Muridke Sunday.

PTCL, who made 284 for nine in their stipulated 90 overs, owed their strong position to former Test slow left-armer Mohammad Hussain, who captured four for 62, according to details available here from Lahore Country Club Ground.

Earlier, Azhar Zaidi played a gallant hand to finish on an unbeaten 94 after PTCL had resumed the day at 260 for nine.
