GILGIT, Nov 3: Northern Areas chief executive and federal information minister Nisar A Memom during his visit to Ghizer district on Sunday directed to speed up work on the ongoing road and development projects in the district. He also directed to speed up the work on Gupis-Mastuj Road.

He said that a 100-km-long road between Gahkuch and Ishkomen valley would be constructed very soon.

Mr Memon also announced the construction of a road to Hundur village, the native village of Lalik Jan Shaheed (Nishan-i-Haider).

Mr Memon assured the local journalists that a building for the Ghizer Press Club would be made available. He also donated computers and fax machines to the club. He appreciated the people of the district for the sacrifices for the defence of the country. He went to Chilas after addressing the people at Ghizer.
