QUETTA, Aug 1: Two children were killed and a man was injured when a bomb exploded in a garbage collection point in Hazar Ganji area of the city on Monday.

DIG (operations) Hamid Shakeel said the children were scavenging through the garbage when the bomb in a dustbin went off. The boys died on the spot and a man was injured.

Police took the bodies and the injured to the Bolan Medical College Hospital.

The deceased were identified as Hamid Khan Marri, 5, and Raza Ali, 10.

Police registered a case and arrested six people, including some relatives of the boys who came to the hospital for receiving their bodies.
