RAWALPINDI, July 28: Three bottles of liquor were recovered from three prisoners who were shifted to Adiala Jail from Lahore during search at the jail on Thursday, the sources said.

The sources said the three prisoners Muhammad Umair, Shehryar Ahmed and Ali Safdar were carrying one bottle of liquor each.

The bottles were recovered when they were frisked at the main entrance before they were taken inside the jail.

The three prisoners were arrested by the Qilla Gujar Singh police, Lahore for their involvement in robbery cases.

Later, the court convicted them and they were shifted to Adiala Jail by a police party led by Sub Inspector Naeem Ahmed.

The prisoners belonged to Nankana Sahib, Vehari and Sargodha.
