RAWALPINDI, July 23: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Saturday submitted an interim report containing details of former President Pervez Musharraf's property, including a plot in Balochistan, before the Anti-Terrorism Court-III.

However, the agency also sought time to provide the court more details.

ATC-III Judge Shahid Rafique was conducting in camera trial of Benazir Bhutto assassination case in Adiala Jail. Accepting the FIA's plea, he adjourned the hearing till August 10.

The former prime minister was assassinated on December 27, 2007 outside Liaquat Bagh in Rawalpindi.

The court had declared Pervez Musharraf a proclaimed offender in the assassination case on May 30 after he did not appear before it. The court had also ordered the FIA to submit details about the former president's property for further action under section 88 of CRPC – to confiscate his property if he failed to appear before the court.

According to the lawyers representing FIA, the court was told that the agency had thus far detected a 10-kanal plot in Sanghar Housing Society, Gawadar, a farmhouse in Islamabad, and agricultural land registered in the name of his wife in Kotha Kalan near Soan River.

They said FIA had already provided details about Musharraf's bank accounts, adding that he had over Rs80 million in 15 banks. They said the details of accounts provided by State Bank had already been submitted to the court.

In its new report, the FIA informed the court that the agency had written letters to provincial chief secretaries, General Headquarters (GHQ) and the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to provide “revenue record” of the former president. The details will be shared with the court as soon as they are provided.

The agency also informed the court that it could not find any clue about Musharraf's property in Bahria Town, Rawalpindi. At the same time it was checking the record of Bahria Town in Lahore for the same purpose.

The prosecutors said the court had only asked them to provide details about the property in Pakistan.
