QUETTA, Nov 1: The provincial Election Commission has completed all arrangements for holding re-polling in two polling stations of NA-263 Loralai on Saturday.

The member of the Election Commission of Pakistan, Justice Ahmed Khan Lashari of the Balochistan High Court had ordered re-polling in the two polling stations after completing inquiry regarding irregularities during polling in the area on Oct 10.

The main candidates, who were contesting election on NA-263-Loralai were:

Sardar Yaqoob Khan Nasar of Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz Group), Maulana Amir Zaman of Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal and Mir Baz Khan Khetran of Pakistan Peoples’ Party.

Mir Baz Khan Khetran and Maulana Amir Zaman have demanded re- election in the constituency.

The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal candidate Maulana Amir Zaman had filed a petition in the Balochistan High Court requesting for re-election in the constituency.

However, the learned court rejected the petition and upheld the decision of Justice Lashari, member of the Election Commision regarding re-polling only in two polling stations on Nov 2.
