ISLAMABAD, Oct 31: Mir Zafrullah Khan Jamali, Secretary-General of the Pakistan Muslim League (Q), said on Thursday that the prime minister of the country would be from the majority party in the National Assembly.

Talking to APP here he said that consultation among the political parties had reached its final stage and the confusion regarding the next prime minister would be removed by tomorrow morning.

He said there was no possibility of any deadlock as all political parties had been given mandate by the people to serve the country.

Replying to a question, he said the next government would be either a coalition government or a consensus government, but there was no chance of forming a national government.

He said the parliamentary leader of the PML-Q, Shujat Hussain, had been given mandate by the MMA to hold dialogue with the government on the Legal Framework Order (LFO).

He said he was unaware of any proposed meeting between the PML-Q leadership and President Pervez Musharraf, and Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain was the one to decide about this.—APP
