LARKANA, Oct 31: The Larkana district government is experiencing difficulty in running its affairs in the wake of lack of coordination among certain devolved and un-devolved federal and provincial governments departments.

In this regard, District Nazim Khursheed Junejo would preside over a meeting of the district coordination committee on Nov 6, Dawn learnt here on Wednesday.

Sources said the meeting would focus on how to ensure coordination between the functionaries of the district government and the district officers of the un-devolved federal and provincial departments.

The meeting would focus on the delivery of services by the un-devolved departments and to ensure smooth transition process, the sources added.

Fake NICs case: The case of preparing fake National Identity Cards in Larkana was transferred to the first additional sessions judge on Wednesday.

Mehar Bozdar, Ghulam Umar Soomro, Ghulam Abbas Soomro, Aslam Arain, Ejaz Jagirani and Khalid Kamboh, who were arrested in this case, were produced in the court on Wednesday and Sachal Tunio and Abdul Qadir Tunio were shown absconding.

Ghulam Qadir Gaad, Rafiq Larik and Bashir Umrani, employees at the local office of the interior division, have sought bail before arrest.

The two MNAs-elect and the MPA-elect are on an interim bail, obtained from the district and sessions judge.

Hizbullah and Ayaz also appeared before the court on Wednesday.

The case was adjourned till Nov 11 when the three elected members would also appear before the court regarding the confirmation of their interim bail.
