NAWABSHAH, July 14: An official of the District Intelligence Bureau (DIB) Tanveer Hussain Shah was hit in his foot when unidentified men fired upon him here on Thursday.

The incident took place at Lal Building Road. After a surgery conducted at the PMC hospital, doctors removed the bullet. Police also exchanged fire with unidentified people in different areas of the city. There were no causalities.

A constable died and another injured as a car hit their motorcycle on Thursday. Officials of Pubjo police station -- Mohram Mashori and Waris Lashari -- were on way to Shahpur Jehanian, when a car hit their motorcycle. Mohram died on the spot while Waris was rushed to hospital for treatment.
