LANDI KOTAL, July 11: Three persons were killed and a Nato container was partially damaged in different incidents of violence in Khyber Agency on Monday.

Sources in Jamrud said that Fazal Amin and Jahangir Khan were gunned down by unidentified persons in Shakas and Ghundi localities respectively. The line officer of Khasadar Force in Jamrud said that causes of both the incidents could not be ascertained immediately. He said that they registered cases against unidentified assailants.

In Bar Qambarkhel area of Bara, Umar Khan was killed when unidentified attackers hurled a hand grenade at his house. Two of his family members sustained injuries in the attack.

Two other tribesmen identified as Shaukat Khan and Maidan Khan received bullet injuries when their car was ambushed by armed persons in Speen Qabar locality of Bara.

Meanwhile, an official of the local political administration told Dawn that a Nato container was partially damaged when a magnet bomb exploded on the main Peshawar-Torkham Highway in Jamrud on Monday.

He said that the magnet device was planted at the moving vehicle by a motorcyclist near Shah Zaman Kallay.
