KARACHI: 20 vehicles hijacked

KARACHI, Oct 30: At least 20 vehicles — six cars and 14 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in different parts of the city on Wednesday.

Three cars were hijacked and three others were stolen, while seven motorcycles were taken away at gunpoint and an equal number of bikes were stolen.

ACCIDENT: An unidentified man died when a locomotive ran over him near Star Gate on Wednesday.

The man, in his early 60s, was crossing the rail tracks near the Star Gate in Malir Town when he was knocked down.

The body was sent to the Edhi morgue for identification.

BODY FOUND: A completely-charred body of an unknown man was found in Korangi Industrial Area late Tuesday night.

Police said that they were informed by some passersby about the presence of a burnt body near Malir river. The police shifted the body to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre and later handed it over to the Edhi Foundation for identification.
